About the event
We are looking for potential STUDENTS or dental assistants who want to become a dental assistant or RDA. Our school provides training for this field as well as job assistance for those who enroll in the dental assisting program. Due to the pandemic, our school has had many inquiries from a variety of dental offices in Southern California as our school provides job assistance for those who graduate our program. If interested in enrolling for our program you may apply in person or we also work with America's Job centers for those who may be eligible for low to no cost tuition. Our school provides students the skills needed to be ready for the working environment in 8 short weeks. Class opening will be held Monday, September 20, 2021, but we are accepting open enrollments until Monday, September 27, 2021.
We are in need of students who will ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Students seeking to be become dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Currently, we have an ongoing demand of dental offices looking for bilingual graduates who are fluent in the following languages:

Responsibilities of a Dental Assistant
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills we will prepare our students for the working environment
- Proven experience as dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset (Our RDA course program)
Job Types offered after graduation: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Internship
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
